The Team

Stephanie Carre


Stephanie Carre, General Manager Dirty Habit DC General Manager Stephanie Carre brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience to the helm of DirtyHabit DC.

A native of Washington D.C., Stephanie got her start in the restaurant industry as a high school student. She progressed through fast-paced, high-volume restaurants with ease and quickly realized she’d found her passion.Following graduation, she pursued a career in hospitality and set her sights on fine dining. She gained extensive food, wine and spirits knowledge as a server and bartender in several local establishments, including Houston’s Restaurant in Georgetown, Capitol City Brewing Company—D.C.’s first brewpub since prohibition, and the up-scale Hotel Washington. Rising through the ranks, Stephanie added Shift Supervisor to her resume at Georgetown’s The Harbor Club Restaurant & Lounge, and later became the Director of Special Events and Private Dining Captain at 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, VA. Under her helm, the Modern French and American Restaurant were voted as having the “Best Private Dining Rooms” by Washingtonian Magazine.

Prior to joining Dirty HabitDC, Stephanie made her mark atD.C.’s fine dining destinations, Butterfield 9, and the local landmark, The Occidental, located just a few steps from The White House and known for catering to top residents and local tastemakers. She spent nearly fifteen years perfecting her craft at The Occidental as Director of Private Events, Senior Event Manager and eventually General Manager. In 2021, Stephanie accepted the position as General Manager of Dirty Habit DC where she strives to delight guests with seasonally-inspired, global cuisine and elevated cocktails set in the unique atmosphere of the iconic 1841 General Post Office.

As a mother of three, two daughters, and a son, Stephanie spends her free time with her family, which also includes two fur babies, a pit bull named Gracie, and a black cat named Arlo. Since her father was a Washington FootballTeamseason ticket holder for 50 years, she continues the tradition and also catches football games whenever she can.

Chef Anthony Jones


A native of Sunderland, MD, Anthony Jones has returned home to lead thekitchen of Dirty Habit DC as Executive Chef.

Jones discovered his passion for cooking at a young age,inspired to pursue a culinary career after falling in love with episodes of the original Iron Chef; little did he know that he would done day find himself on the other side of the screen. In 2022, Jones brought home first place on an episode of Food Network’sChopped, joining the ranks o fellow top toques as a Chopped Champion. Jones is no stranger to working among some of the best in theculinary landscape–most recently, he worked as MarcusSamuelsson’sright-handman asExecutiveSousChef at Red Rooster Overton in Miami, which was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2019. Prior to his Florida move, Jones worked at several DMV-area restaurants, including BLT Steak, Birch & Barley and The Sovereign.

Jones attended Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC, where he received his associate degree in applied science culinary arts. Along with his Choppedvictory and Michelin accolade, Jones was also honored as a guest chef at the Worlds of Flavor Event in NapaValley in 2022 and was a participating chef in the Diaspora Kitchen TourinCameroon, Africa, in 2023alongside other acclaimed Black chefs such asChefMashama Bailey and Chef BJ Dennis.

When Jones is not crafting his latest dish at Dirty Habit, he enjoys outdoor activities and cooking with his partner, Max. Along with their friends, they channel their competitive sides over frequent card games and videogames.
