Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́  Founder & Creative Director Born in Ijebu Ode, Nigeria, Tolù relocated to South East London, England in 1995. He is the son of a fashion designer and stylist father and an entrepreneurial mother; his family are fourth-generation textile designers, manufacturers, and wholesalers.

Tolù had a deep passion for art and design as a child, is a Young Patron of the Royal Academy. In his teens, he was mentored by Sir Terence Conran on furniture design during a two-year program. He honed his artistic flair at Camberwell College of Arts, where he did short life drawing courses. He later attained his Interior Design BA Hons degree at Bournemouth University.  Whilst at university, Tolù pursued his entrepreneurial ambitions by collaborating with artisans and creatives on an online creative lifestyle platform.

This grew into a quarterly luxury lifestyle print magazine speaking to an affluent, cosmopolitan audience in over twenty countries. As editor-in-chief, Tolù had the opportunity to work with and interview some of the luminaries in fashion, art, and design, including Christian Louboutin, Anish Kapoor, and Marcel Wanders, to name a few.  Simultaneously, Tolù embarked on a career in design, working on several prominent international hospitality projects, from hotels to resort islands, as well as restaurants, bars, cruise ships, and superyachts. Selected projects include Restaurant Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill; Ritz, Edition, W, and Marriott hotels; and MSC, Norwegian, and Viking cruise lines.

Tolù founded his interior design & creative direction studio, Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. Ltd, in 2014 at the age of 26. Before branching out on his own, Tolù has held several senior positions at renowned interior design firms such as David Collins Studio. Tolù vision is to fuse quality design and sustainability to produce long-lasting, inspired interiors that will stand the test of time. His studio takes a holistic approach to design, collaborating with artisans, craftsmen, and makers who are the best in their field to create a unified aesthetic that is timeless yet globally contemporary.  Over the past decade, Tolù has developed his own distinctive aesthetics, characterized by a classic luxury with attention to detail, craft, and functionality. His studio houses an accomplished team of architects, artisans, and interior, furniture, product, and graphic designers who are collaborating on international hospitality, residential, and retail projects. Tolù is a proud member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and The Society of British and International Interior Designers (SBID).
